Starting martial arts at the age of 5, under Professor Ed Budd, Master Alexander has seen the martial arts explode from very traditional and rigid to a large variety of extremes that it is today and with his constant desire to always find a way to make martial arts better. He operates four schools in the towns of Londonderry, Stratton, Chester and Bellows Falls and is often hired as a guest speaker for many surrounding schools from preschools to high schools and independent organizations. Topics include bullying, predator/rape awareness and self defense, and an introduction to martial arts with respect and self-confidence. He is also a producer for local television's "Martial Arts In your Town" tv show.
As a competitor, Master Alexander was the 1997 #1 15-17 Jr. Black Belt in New England in forms and fighting and coming out of retirement in 2008 to do the same in the adult black belt Division. He was also a full contact kickboxer as well as the boxer winning the New England, United States and World Title belts in kickboxing and the VT Golden Gloves and Rocky Marciano Tournament of Champions as an amateur. He was ranked #6 in the world with the I.K.F. (international kickboxing federation) as a professional before retiring. Realizing his love for the arts that brought him his stardom as a full contact fighter he returned his focus to his schools and martial arts family across the nation to bring everyone a positive outlook on the benefits of martial Arts.
